Crispy Oven Pulled Pork

Ingredients
7 lb Boston Butt
Liquid Smoke Mixture
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
Dry Rub
  • 1/2 cup smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
  2. Mix all of the spices together in a bowl.
  3. Pat dry pork butt
  4. Rub pork butt with liquid smoke mixture
  5. Rub the spice mix on all sides of the pork butt.
  6. Place the pork butt fat side up in a roasting pan with a rack.
  7. Cook pork for 30 minutes at 450ºF.
  8. Reduce the oven temperature to 250ºF.
  9. Bake until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 195-200ºF (6-8 hours).
  10. Cover butt with aluminum foil and allow it to rest for at least 15 minutes.
